Make an Lasting Impression Using Static Cling Decals
You can use static cling decals almost anywhere indoors and in any environment - they are easy to use and better still, they can be used again and again! You can move them to wherever you need them displayed or take them down when you don't want the message displayed - good examples include displaying hours of operation, when an area is hazardous for a period of time or simply to display far and wide your business and how to contact you!
Static cling decals use is only limited by your imagination!
They are also cheap to produce, easy to design and manufacture so you get a very fast turnaround and as your needs change they can be changed to suit your purpose and are cheap to buy in low quantities.
If you have a glass front on your premises or on vehicles then static cling decals are the way to go - they leave no messy adhesive residue when you want to remove them and are so simple to fix a child can do it. Simply peel off the backing strip and place flat over the glass in the position you want - press down firmly and smooth out any trapped air pockets and that's it - you decal is on display and you're in business!
When you are designing your decal, consider the background against which it will be displayed - you should choose inks and colors which are going to jump out from the display site. Backing onto a glass front may cause some issues because there is no sold background as such - it's glass after all! Choose colors which will contrast as strongly as possible so they stand out on their own account - you may wish to use a clear decal which only has your design and text upon it so when it is applied to glass it looks like sign lettering has been applied directly to the window pane itself or you may choose a solid color background on the decal upon which your logo and content are placed - white is the typical color for this but not always so use your imagination.
Make sure your design can be seen from a distance; decals tend not to be large in size so you really need to maximize their clarity and contrast. If you are using just your logo on the decal, make sure you select the closest ink color available or use black as a standby. Not all decals are applied to glass as some are used on vehicle bodywork or on other items such as a hard hat - take into account the background color of such solid, non-transparent backgrounds and make sure your decal will stand out on them - for instance, using a yellow colored design on a yellow car is not going to get the decal noticed!
When you are looking for a print and design partner to source your decals from you should consider the following factors before making your buying decision:
• Ensure your printer has the capacity to produce decals in a range of sizes and shapes;
• Ensure they have a 7-day turnaround time for delivery to you;
• They should have a wide range of standard decal inks - at least 15 and more is better;
• Provide standard decal designs so you minimize the amount of time it takes to create your own;
• Provide high quality decal materials - cheap ones are likely to not work very well and end up peeling or coming loose entirely; and
• Offer a low minimum order quantity; 500 is good but 250 is excellent!
